Mitskan Ceramics is a family ceramics business from the Carpathian region. It was founded in 1980 by Roman Mitskan (1953–2024), a distinguished master of folk art in Ukraine. He developed his own style of working with clay and laid the foundation for a workshop that has been thriving and evolving for over four decades.

Mitskan Ceramics is not a brand in the usual sense. It is a living family business that has never gone beyond the family. All products are created only by the Mitskans - the Master's wife, his children and grandchildren. The same hands, the same workshop, the same continuity of responsibility for the form, material and meaning of things.

In our workshop, clay goes through the entire process - from raw earth to finished product. We shape, dry, and fire every bead, every sculpture, every tool ourselves. There are no purchased blanks, ready-made elements, or assembled solutions here. Everything you see is born in one place and in a continuous process that has been passed down from generation to generation.

Ceramic necklaces occupy a special place in our work. This is our own form of jewelry, which the Mytskan family has been creating and developing since 1980. Each necklace is assembled by hand from ceramic beads made in our workshop, with attention to rhythm, weight, and feel on the body. These are jewelry pieces that do not try to impress — they naturally become part of life.

In addition to jewelry, we create ceramic sculptures — restrained, figurative, with inner peace. These are things for space that need no explanation and do not compete for attention. Our portfolio also includes whistles and ocarinas — ceramic musical instruments in which form and sound combine simply and organically.

Mitskan Ceramics is a workshop with its own core. We do not build our identity from foreign elements and do not work according to ready-made formulas. What you see here is the result of decades of family work with clay, fire, and memory.

Thank you for visiting Mytskan Ceramics. Each of our products embodies the warmth of Roman Mytskan's hands and the continuation of a tradition that his family cherishes and carries on.
